What is the SkinPen with PRP procedure like?
Your appointment starts with a simple lab draw to obtain PRP. Your provider will clean your skin and apply a topical numbing cream that will set for an hour. Microneedling takes about 30 minutes, and PRP is applied during and afterward.
How do I care for my skin afterward?
Your skin will be tight and pink for 1–3 days after your SkinPen with PRP treatment. Show your skin extra care over the first 1–2 days by applying moisturizer throughout the day and using a mineral sunscreen.
Who is SkinPen with PRP for?
Microneedling with PRP is a natural method to regain plump, youthful skin. It treats acne scars, surgical scars, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, large pores, and uneven skin texture. PRP is also safe for all skin types.
How many treatments will I need?
We generally recommend 1–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. To maintain your results, you may want to repeat treatment every 3–4 months.
