What skin conditions does Halo treat?

Discolorations and imperfections such as age spots, sunspots, acne scars, and fine lines and wrinkles can all be improved with one treatment. Halo activates your body’s natural production of collagen to repair your skin’s strength and elasticity below the surface. It smooths out creases in the skin caused by aging or scarring and reduces the size of your pores. Schedule a consultation to see if Halo is right for your skin type.

How does the procedure work?

Halo uses a BroadBand Light laser technology to apply two temperature-controlled heat treatments to your skin at the same time. One laser treats your skin’s surface and the other treats deeper layers of skin. The heat activates your body’s healing response so surface skin falls away and new skin forms. Below the surface, where collagen has deteriorated because of aging or sun damage, the body’s natural production of collagen repairs skin. Your new collagen forms a natural trellis to support new cells, giving you smooth even-toned skin.

What will the provider do?

Your provider will apply a topical anesthetic, or numbing cream, to the area you’re treating. The laser will be adjusted based on whether you have opted for one aggressive treatment or multiple less-aggressive treatments. Your provider will gently roll the Halo device over your skin. Depending on the size of the treatment area, your session may last from 15 to 30 minutes.

What does Halo feel like?

Because we apply a topical anesthetic, most patients only feel warmness as well as a “prickly” sensation. Cold air is filtered across the treatment area to make you comfortable.

What will my skin be like after treatment?

At first, your skin will feel warm as if you’ve had a sunburn. After a few days, old skin will begin to peel to make way for new skin and will require more moisturizer than usual.

How long does the procedure take?

Halo is our most time-efficient treatment. Other services require 3 to 5 appointments with recovery periods in between. But Halo gives premium results after one treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

You will see results in as little as one or two treatments. You can choose to have several mild treatments scheduled over a longer period or 1 to 2 treatments right away. Schedule a consultation and we will customize an overall plan for you.

How long before I notice a difference?

You’ll notice results just a few days after your treatment. Most patients see the greatest improvements in 2 or 3 weeks.
